"anti white-slavery" (interracial sex/marriage/cohabitation) laws were taken out of most Bible belt state constitutions in the late 1990, despite being ruled unconstitutional in all states by '67. . The taboo is still strong,. which is one of the reasons this is so hot/subversive.
